Informed by her international experiences working in fashion from New York to Copenhagen, she embarked creating a line of understated chic basics. FLORE FLORE is produced in Portugal, by a family-owned factory run by a mother-daughter duo. All creations are made of organic cotton and all paper packaging is FSC® certified. The Role 

We are looking for an experienced Production & Development Manager who will take full ownership of our product development, production, and supply chain. This role acts as the primary point of contact for all suppliers and factories and is responsible for managing the entire process from initial concept through to final delivery, working closely with our Designer throughout the process. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent supplier management and a strategic overview of timelines, quality, and costs. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Production Leadership

 

·       Own and manage the full product development and production process from concept to final production, in close collaboration with the Designer.

·       Translate creative concepts into technically sound, production-ready products while safeguarding design intent and quality. 

·       Create, maintain, and continuously improve detailed tech packs, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all styles.

 

Supplier & Supply Chain Management 

 

·       Act as the primary point of contact for all suppliers and factories.

·       Build, manage, and develop strong, long-term relationships with suppliers.

·       Negotiate prices, lead times, MOQ's, and quality standards.

·       Ensure suppliers meet agreed timelines, quality requirements, and sustainability standards. 

·       Proactively identify, manage, and resolve production and supply chain risks.

 

Sampling & Quality Control 

 

·       Oversee the entire sampling process, including prototypes, SMS, and pre-production samples.

·       Coordinate fittings, evaluate samples, and clearly communicate feedback in alignment with the Designer.

·       Oversee lab dips and material approvals to ensure color accuracy and material quality.

 ·       Conduct quality checks throughout development and production to ensure craftsmanship and brand standards.

 

Planning, budgetting & Logistics

 

·       Own production planning and critical path management across collections.

·       Monitor and control development and production budgets to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

·       Coordinate shipments and logistics to ensure timely delivery of samples and production.

 ·       Maintain clear production overviews, timelines, and reporting for internal stakeholders.

 

Materials, Packaging & Systems

 

·       Source and develop fabrics, trims, and new production techniques in collaboration with suppliers and the Designer.

·       Oversee the development of packaging and POS materials.

 ·       Maintain a structured, up-to-date system for samples, materials, and production data.

 

Your profile

 

We are looking for an ambitious and pro-active team player who satisfies the following requirements:

·       Minimum of 4 years of experience in production, fashion development, or a related role.

·       You have sensibility towards the Fashion and Luxury sector

·       Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and product development processes. Experience in the jersey fabric industry is a plus.

·       Excellent communication skills and comfort working with suppliers and manufacturers.

·       Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once.

·       A proactive, hands-on mindset and a strong sense of responsibility.

·       Highly organized and driven with meticulous attention to detail

·       Excellent communication skills in English – written and oral

·       Ability to work independently and across a team

·       Bachelor degree in Fashion

·       You are skilled with all the relevant tools for the job (e.g. Illustrator, Indesign, Excel)

·       Eligible to work in the Netherlands
